FACILITY MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR FOR PARISH OF CHRIST CHURCH

We are seeking a qualified and committed person to manage the facilities at Parish of Christ Church, 1 Dorset Road, Singapore 219486. The facility includes the church compound with the 3blocks namely, the sanctuary, parish hall and the newly developed block.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Building Committee Convenor in planning and scheduling of maintenance and servicing contracts.
  • Execute building maintenance programmes and troubleshooting as required.
  • Provide oversight to ensure maintenance contractors and service providers working on site are working safely, in accordance with requirements of the service agreement or contract. 
  • Maintain and upkeep the premise which involves day-to-day servicing, including cleanliness of our premise, with minimal disruption to daily operations and Services.

  • Perform routine checks, ensuring all preventive and corrective maintenance program are carried out in accordance to authorities’ legislations, industry standards and the church policies.
  • Perform any other facilities and security related work as assigned by the Building Committee Convenor.
  • Assist to ensure security & safety of the premises, including in assisting and working along with security officers in managing guest and vehicular traffic when required.

CHILDREN MINISTRY PASTORAL WORKER FOR ST JAMES' CHURCH

We are seeking a qualified person, who is a committed Christian answering God’s call to join the staff at St. James’ Church (SJC).

The role:

As the Pastoral Worker with SJC’s Children’s ministry, you will hold Chaplaincy responsibilities for St. James’ Church Kindergartens (SJCK) which will include coordinating all aspects of our ministry to SJCK staff, children and their families. You will also work with the Head of Children’s Ministry, and alongside the existing Children’s Ministry Core Teams and volunteers to help run the operations of various Children’s Ministry activities including Teleios Todds (TT), Teleios Kids (TK) and SuperPower Kids (SPK) teams in Children’s Ministry.

Caretaker Duty:

(Custodian of Church Property and Safety)

  • Ensure the gates and facilities are opened and closed on time, and that only authorised personnel and vehicles are left in the compound after closure.
  • Disarming the alarm systems.
  • Keep vigilance for suspicious persons or items, especially after office hours and to report any incidents to the supervisor.

    • Disciple, counsel and encourage youth leaders and cluster leaders in their leadership journey
  5. Support the running of Youth Service
    • Prepare Powerpoint slides for announcements and scripture Reading.
    • Load songs slides on Pro-Presenter for worship set
    • Coordinate with every laity who are serving at every segment of the service.
    • Provide operations and admin support for the running of Youth Service
    • Assist with the role of a service pastor at the youth service to brief the service team and go through the order of service
  6. Engage and Preach to the Youths when rostered
  7. Plan and Organise the annual Youth Camp in December
    • Coordinate the forming of the Camp Committee and work closely with them for the planning and organisation of the camp.
    • Coordinate the basic operations of the camp from Registration, transportation, sound equipment rental, camp site arrangements and other basic administrative needs.

Secondary Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Perform other ministry duties as assigned by Group Head.
  2. Organise or Support other church wide events and activities as assigned
  3. Be a welcoming host to any visitor(s) to the church during daily service.

Our Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in any discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of church ministry experience
  • Preferably One year of Theological education from a recognised institution
  • Good team worker
  • Good organizing and administrative skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint

WOMEN AND FAMILIES MINISTRY DIRECTOR FOR ST GEORGE'S CHURCH

Job Purpose
St George’s Church is a growing, multicultural, Christ-centred body of believers, giving glory to God within the Anglican Diocese of Singapore. Our Mission is to present every person complete in Christ and to glorify Christ by living and proclaiming His gospel in Singapore and beyond and loving and caring for all in His name.

We are seeking to appoint a Women and Families Ministry Director to work under the supervision of the vicar, to evangelise and disciple the women and families of St George’s Church. She will coordinate Women and Families Ministry initiatives at St George's, support our Ladies' Bible Study/Life Groups and be engaged in weekend church services. She will also work with the vicar and church staff to provide pastoral care to our female and family church members.

Duties and Responsibilities
1.   Oversee Women’s Ministry events at St George’s Church.
2.   Support Women in the Life Groups Ministry.
3.   Work with the Children’s and Youth Directors to minister to families at St George’s and seek ways to engage with wider communities of families in Singapore.
4.   Provide pastoral support to families and women.
5.   Involvement in a proposed, new Saturday afternoon service and in at least one regular Sunday service.
6.   Assist in running courses.
7.   Involvement in weekly church staff meetings, monthly church prayer meetings and writing monthly reports for the Parochial Church Council (PCC).

Prerequisites
The successful applicant must be a committed evangelical Christian, a humble leader, pastorally warm, hardworking, faithful to the gospel and have already been fruitful in similar roles. Essential requirements include:
1.     High level of biblical and theological skills. Formal theological training is a strong advantage.
2.     Experience in reading the Bible one-to-one with people as a way to mentor others.
3.     Excellence in forming, supporting and working with teams of volunteers.
4.     High capabilities in mentoring, coaching and training leaders.
5.     High competence in pastoral care.
6.     Proficiency in English is a must.

Working Conditions
This is a full-time role. Some work can be done from home. Salary depends on experience. CPF is included in the salary package.
