1. Do the Applicants need to raise financial support for the teaching post?

The interested applicant needs to raise the full financial support from the Church or Agency before applying for the post. The Diocese of Singapore serves as a receiving partner and will not be able provide financial support or employment to persons who are keen to take up the teaching post.

2. If the Applicant is accepted for the teaching post, what can the person expect for cultural orientations?

The Diocese of Singapore will provide the cultural orientation in Singapore as well as in the country of posting.

3. What is the typical Length of Service that is required as English Language teachers?

The short term service would be a minimum of 4 months and a typical full term service would be a 2 year commitment with a review at the end of term.

4. What are the countries that applicant could consider working with the Diocese of Singapore?

There are great needs especially in the area of teaching English, and presently, the Diocese of Singapore places high priority in encouraging teachers to be located in Indonesia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.
